House Vote Controls Health Care Costs to Protect School Funds — The House of Representatives voted 113-42 this week to give cities and towns the flexibility required to control skyrocketing health care costs and protect hundreds of municipal jobs.
Teacher Evaluation System Redesign Continues — The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE)voted at an April 27 meeting to solicit public comments onCommissioner Chester’s proposed regulations for a new teacher evaluation system. Public comments will be received for 60 days.
