Key Legislative Priorities
June 18, 2025MBAE welcomes Kathleen A. Dawson, Ed.D., our newest member! Kathleen is a dedicated educator and equity-driven leader with more than 25 years of experience working across K–12 systems. Her career has spanned classroom teaching, district leadership, and launching her education consultancy, focused on advancing innovation, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development in education by equipping educators and institutions with the tools, strategies, and mindsets needed to create equitable and future-ready learning environments.
Dr. Dawson’s experience aligns closely with MBAE’s key initiatives. She has led efforts to connect classroom learning with real-world, industry-relevant experiences to better prepare students for in-demand careers. She’s also worked to expand access to computer science education, dual-credit programs, CTE, and early college models — helping more students, especially those historically underserved, find success through career-connected pathways. Improving literacy has been a central part of her work as well, with a strong emphasis on research-based strategies to support student growth from early reading to academic success.
Dr. Dawson is honored to join the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education and looks forward to contributing her experience to help ensure every student in the Commonwealth is prepared for college, career, and life.
