Changes at MBAE

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I’m often told how critical MBAE’s voice is in our state’s efforts to deliver the high quality education every child deserves.  We’re known for rejecting the status quo when it is failing, challenging the system to act boldly, and bringing valued perspectives and important evidence to the table.  I’m proud to have played a part in building this reputation, earned over 30 years by a succession of dedicated Board leaders and talented, hard-working staff.

It has been my honor and privilege to serve as Executive Director of MBAE for the past 13 years.  Now, it is the right time for me to embark on new adventures and for the organization to find a dynamic new leader who can build on this strong foundation for the future.  Until next spring, I will continue to work alongside the Board and staff to achieve our policy objectives and find the lucky person to take on this role.

We know that our work is far from done!  MBAE’s commitment to high quality education for EVERY child remains as relevant and urgent as ever.  Our organization is well-positioned to move forward with a plan of action to modernize our approach to educating students for the 21st century.

In the weeks ahead we will be sharing our policy priorities for the 2019-2020 legislative session.  You can count on me to be working beside you more determined than ever to get the job of closing achievement and opportunity gaps done!

I have loved this job and am grateful for what we have achieved together.  It wouldn’t have been possible without wonderful partners like you.  Thank you for your guidance and friendship.

Sincerely,

Linda
