MBAE Invited to Governor’s Statewide Graduation Requirement Council

MBAE is pleased to have been named to the Governor’s Statewide Graduation Requirement Council charged with creating a new uniform high school graduation standard. 

This invitation provides an opportunity for us to continue to advocate for a uniform graduation standard that ensures that all students are prepared for post-graduate success and have the same set of high expectations for achievement that advances equity of opportunity.

In a time where racial/socioeconomic gaps in college enrollment, degree completion, and economic outcomes continue to widen, a strong business perspective on what knowledge and competencies every student should exit our public education system with is especially critical. MBAE is prepared to bring the voices of business to this effort and looks forward to contributing to establishing a new, uniform graduation standard that promotes student readiness and opportunity and strengthens our workforce.
