MBAE Supports Board of Ed Approval of MassCore

The Curriculum for Success Committee was formed to identify a set of courses and units that would comprise a recommended program of studies that nearly all students would take in high school. The committee met four times over the course of 2006-2007 and examined high school graduation requirements from other states as well as recommended programs of study. MBAE was pleased to represent the employer perspective with four business representatives on the committee. The final MassCore proposal, approved by the Board of Education on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, is a positive step toward ensuring that all Massachusetts students graduate from high school ready for success in college, career and citizenship.
