The Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education (MBAE) invites Massachusetts employers who share our commitment to a quality education for every child in the Commonwealth to participate in our work.
Board of Directors
The MBAE Board of Directors articulates the vision, mission, and policies of the organization, and determines which advocacy activities and programs are consistent with MBAE’s mission of improving K-12 public education. Members represent a variety of Massachusetts industries and bring specific skills as well as a general understanding of education issues to the organization. Board members attend 6 meetings annually, commit to 3-year terms, agree to serve on a Committee, and may be called upon to represent MBAE on various working groups and collaborative initiatives.
Our Advisory Council is comprised of CEO’s and senior business executives who bring unique skills and knowledge that complement the expertise of the Board. Advisory Council members represent the experience and perspective of all segments of MBAE’s employer constituency – by industry, corporate size, and geography.
Know Your Schools Advisory Board
MBAE is committed to using data to drive school improvements and raise student achievement and sponsors. Know Your Schools is a school performance data resource that supports our work to raise academic performance and close achievement gaps at all grade levels. This Board advises MBAE on the most effective strategies for presentation of this data and its use by educators, parents, and other concerned citizens.
MBAE occasionally convenes business executives for short-term commitments to provide expertise on specific issues, to articulate the position of employers on topics of concern, or to develop plans for action and advocacy by the business community.
