Governor Deval Patrick has appointed Paul Reville as the Commonwealth's new Secretary of Education, overseeing the recently created Executive Office of Education. The goal is to provide a seamless delivery of high quality education from pre-school through higher education.

MBAE Calls for Preservation of Educational Accountability

MBAE has issued a statement opposing the proposal to abolish the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability (EQA) by eliminating funding for this function. The need for an independent evaluator is essential given the funds invested in education reform.

Massachusetts State Scholars Initiative Launched
|
Students at five Massachusetts high schools will be the first to have the opportunity to qualify as Massachusetts State Scholars by taking a rigorous academic program to prepare them for college and career.
The Massachusetts State Scholars Initiative will link business and community leaders with eighth and ninth graders as they consider what courses they will take in high school.
